This week, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced that there is a nationwide recall of thousands of Hallmark Keepsake Christmas tree ornaments of Cad Bane, who is featured in several Star Wars shows on Disney+.

Cad Bane first appeared in the animated series "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," then in "Star Wars: The Bad Batch" before being played in the live-action series by Dorian Kingi in "The Book of Boba Fett."

According to CPSC, "the brown paint on the exterior of the recalled Christmas tree ornaments did not fully dry before packaging, causing mold to grow on the exterior surface of the ornament, posing risk of respiratory issues to consumers due to mold exposure."

In total, approximately 11,100 ornaments are subject to the recall.

The ornament features a figurine of the bounty hunter with a brown hat, brown jacket, brown pants, a green face and blue cuffs. They are about 4.5 inches tall and 1.5 inches wide, and come in a collectable and reusable white storage box with red accents.

Officials also noted that the recalled ornaments have the code 2199QXE3341 printed on the bottom of the box.

To date, there have been 16 reports of the recalled tree ornaments having mold on them when they were unboxed. No injuries were reported.

Anyone who may have purchased one of the recalled ornaments - which were sold nationwide - have been advised to return it to their Hallmark Gold Crown store.
